James started painting in 2016 and set up PST Painting & Decorating Ltd to do the kind of work he’d want in his own place: proper prep, good products, tidy site, no surprises on the invoice. Based in Christchurch, working across the city and surrounding suburbs.
Every quote and every job goes through James directly. If a small crew is needed he’ll bring in painters he’s worked with for years — same standard, same approach.

Interior painting
Walls, ceilings, trim, doors. Dust sheets down, edges cut clean, low-VOC options.
Exterior painting
Weatherboards, plaster, joinery. Wash, scrape, prime and top-coat that actually lasts a Canterbury winter.
Roof painting
Long-run steel and tile. Moss treatment, repairs, membrane coatings.
Touch ups
Post-tenancy, pre-sale, or just tidying scuffs before the in-laws visit.
Wallpapering
Hanging, stripping, feature walls. Straight seams, no bubbles.
